If you’re a Mixer streamer looking to export your past broadcast VODs (video on demand) over to Youtube, you have quite literal control over being able to do so. With Mixer VOD’s of your past broadcasts enabled, you’re able to directly download the broadcast as an MP4 file to directly upload to Youtube. Unfortunately, unlike Twitch, Mixer doesn’t have an auto export feature to Youtube. You’ll have to directly download the MP4 of your past broadcast on Mixer and then manually upload to Youtube.
Where are My Mixer Past Broadcasts?
To find your Mixer past broadcast VODs, head on over to your Manage Channel page. You can find this on Mixer by clicking your profile avatar image in the top right-hand screen on the website. You’ll find a dropdown menu with Manage Channel as a page item. This will open a whole new page for managing your Mixer channel. At the very top will be four menu items, one of them will be Past Streams. It is on this page here where you can find your Mixer past broadcasts.
My Mixer Past Broadcasts Are Missing
If when clicking your Mixer past streams page, you don’t see your past broadcasts, then you more than likely did not enable the “keep recordings of my streams” option. You can find this on the Manage Channel page under Broadcast tab or read below for more details.
How to Enable Past Broadcasts on Mixer
Head on over to the Manage Channel page on Mixer, and make sure the tab Broadcast is selected. On this page you’ll find your stream setup key, broadcast information, and preferences. Under preferences you’ll want to make sure that “Keep recordings of my stream” is checked. Now every time you stream for more than 5 minutes, Mixer will keep your past broadcasts for you.
How Long Will Mixer Keep My Past Broadcasts?
It’s important to note that Mixer will only keep your past broadcasts for 14 days. So, if you’re wanting to download or upload your Mixer broadcasts over to Youtube, you’ll want to download the MP4 file of the past broadcast before the 14 days are up.
